Dear Editor,

On behalf of my family, I would like to thank our community for its continued support of the Benedictine Health Foundation’s Rosemary D. Gruner Cancer Fund.

The fund was established in 2004 and directly assists people in Ulster County to aid in the treatment, care, and support of cancer patients in financial need. Each year, we strive to raise more money to continue our work of providing financial support to our neighbors diagnosed with cancer.

Our largest fundraiser, the Bike for Cancer Care and 5K Run/Walk, was a virtual event this year. I want to personally thank all of the individuals, families, and businesses that helped raise over $87,000 in an extremely tumultuous year for everyone, including cancer patients.

If you would like to learn more about the fund and the assistance it provides to our community, please visit the website www.bikeforcancer.org.

My family, the Benedictine Health Foundation board members, and the cancer patients who are assisted, truly appreciate our community’s generous support. Thank you!
