Benedictine Health Foundation Announces New Board Members

The Benedictine Health Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of three new board members.

Craig D. Crump, Vice President with Key Investment Services has over 25 years of experience working as a Financial Advisor.  Prior to joining Key he worked with Lehman Brothers and Fleet Investment Management.  Craig has an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a BA in economics from Hobart College.  He is a past President of Ulster County Habitat for Humanity and the Kiwanis Club of Kingston, and has served many years as a board member for Ulster Greene ARC.

Emily Glass DeGasperis is the Public Relations and Marketing Specialist for Diamond Mills Hotel & Tavern and HITS, Inc. in Saugerties.  DeGasperis received her Bachelor’s degree from Marist College in business administration, with a special interest in fashion merchandising and communications, and then served as the Press Director for The Globe Showroom in Manhattan’s fashion district.

Emily lives in Kingston and is married to John A. DeGasperis, Esq.  She currently sits on the Ulster Tourism Advisory Board and is a provisional member of the Junior League of Kingston.

Edward T. Hill, Jr., CFP® is a Partner and Senior Financial Advisor at Meltzer & Hill Wealth Advisory.  Hill graduated in 1989 with honors from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelors of Business Administration. He became a Certified Financial Planner™ in 1999 and has worked for Marist College as a teacher in the Financial Planning Certificate Program.

Hill has served on several local boards including the American Red Cross of Ulster County, Gateway Community Industries, and Circle of Friends for the Dying.

Ed lives in Kingston with his wife Rattiya and their three children.

Robert J. Ryan, Jr. has been appointed President of the Benedictine Health Foundation Board of Directors. The Foundation’s 2016 slate of officers include Julie H. Krieger, 1st Vice President; Paul Beichert, 2nd Vice President; Daniel J. Gruner, Treasurer; Jennifer A. Zell, Secretary; Richard H. Gillette, Immediate Past President.

“Having served on the Board of Directors since 2009 and my family’s long standing relationship with the Benedictine Health Foundation, it is with great pride and pleasure that I take the reins of this fine organization,” said Robert J. Ryan. “With the combined talent of the Board of Directors, both new and seasoned, and the fully engaged management team in place, we will continue to fully serve our mission to improve the physical, psychological, and spiritual well being of those who are vulnerable and underserved in Ulster County.”

The Benedictine Health Foundation distributed over $400,000 in 2014 to our local hospitals and community-based healthcare providers, as well as financial assistance to cancer patients in Ulster County. Their core areas of focus include cancer care services, primarily financial assistance through the Rosemary D.
